Overall Patterns are quilted from side to side and over and over again. A quilting pattern is applied in separate or interlocking rows and does not necessarily follow the pieces pattern of the quilt top.
Free hand overall pattern is also side to side, but compliments a theme in the quilt piecing or fabric ( i.e., stars, hearts) or requests of the customer.
Meandering is freehand stitching that looks like puzzle pieces – usually ½” to 2” apart. It also resembles antique quilts.
Strippling is freehand stitching that looks like very small puzzle pieces or other close stitching – about ¼” apart.
Custom pantograph, blocks, artistic quilting and border work consists of a quilted design or motif in each block or along the border(s). Outling and diagonal lines can also be done on your quilt.
Basting layering all three layers together with large stitches to prepare the quilt for the hand quilting.
There will be extra charges for turning the quilt to stitch a specific design along the borders, for thread, for changing the thread many times, for use of specialty threads, or to do a rush job.
Pressing, trimming off threads, and any other preparation necessary $15/hour.
Binding will be sewn on if requested for $15/hour. This includes machine stitching the front and hand stitching the back. All bindings are double fold. An additional one yard of fabric is required for this service.
Many different kinds of batting and backing are available at market price.
Minimum charge of $30 for quilting.
Quilting prices are based upon the quilting style and the square yardage of the quilt. A quilt’s square yardage is determined by multiplying its length (in inches) by its width and dividing by 1296.

Along with machine quilting we also offer through our design studio- custom sewing this includes quilts, tablerunners, quilt restoration, quilting items, ect. For these services we charge $25/hour.
