Beginner Basics
Do Re Mi – If you’ve never quilted before this class is for you.  Learn rotary cutting, accurate seam allowances, machine quilting, basic shapes and how to finish off a simple table square/wall hanging. Then you will be on your way to enjoying the wonderful craft of quilting.  This class is also perfect for those who wish to have a refresher course on quilting.
Saturdays, Jan. 30th and Feb. 13th   10am-3pm. 
Class fee $25 - plus supplies. Bring sack lunch

Buggy Barn Beginner’s
Let me teach you one of my favorite methods of quilting – Buggy Barn!  It’s crazy fun – Be Careful when you take this class because you will get hooked and will want to make more and more…… We’ll create “Crazy About Hearts and Stars”.  It is a fat quarter friendly project.

This class is for those who have graduated from our beginner basics class or have some knowledge of quilting and want to learn how to properly use sashings, apply borders, and do a basic appliqué with a buttonhole stitch.

Paper Piecing Basics

Our expert Bonnie will teach you her tips using paper piecing methods.  You will be creating a perfect pointed tulip wall hanging/pot holder. The process looks difficult but is very simple once you learn the technique.  You will have fun making many other projects using the paper piecing method.

Thimbleberries Club 2010
Club meets the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm or 5pm. Club fee is $75.00  which includes the monthly Village Green Patterns (a $72.00 value), a 20% discount on Thimbleberries products purchased on club day, door prizes, a Thimbleberries monthly newsletter, and special events exclusive to club members throughout the year. Optional choices for club projects will includes the Village Green Quilt (72 X 82), available as a complete kit, and
12 bonus project kits (pick and choose per trimester). Each bonus project pattern is contained within your monthly Village Green pattern you receive as a club member. Mail order is also available.

Clothesline Club

Clothesline Club 2010
If you love 30's fabric you will love 30's club. Darlene Zimmerman has created this club for the 30's enthusiats with special club patterns and fabrics.
Clothesline Club begins January 26th. 2010 club will be a 6 month short term club with another 6 month club to follow. The First six month projects will be made using Darlene Zimmerman's The Three Bears fabric line. (to view the fabric line click on The Three Bears link - this link will open in a new window.)

Club meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 10am or 5pm. There is a $30 club fee per month which includes project kit, pattern, handouts snacks, and door prizes. You also receive 20% off any 30's products
purchased on club day.

  Apron Club

Join us in creating a very cute wallhanging/small quilt made of 30’s aprons.  We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 9-noon. Check out our website for a photo of the project.  No charge for this club, but must purchase pattern.

  Buggy Barn Club

Join this group  of “crazy” buggy barn groupies who love to share the art of buggy barn techniques in creating some very fun and unique projects.  No fee or sign up, but please bring a potluck item to share for lunch or snacks.  We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  Future dates are:  Jan. 13th, Feb. 10th, Mar. 10th, and Apr. 21st  (Note-date change in April).
Come for the Whole day or part of the day and Join in on the Fun!

 

Double Wedding Ring Club
Have you had the desire to make a double wedding ring quilt?  Join us in learning the template techniques in creating an heirloom quilt.  The process is not difficult but is time consuming.  We will meet the 4th Wednesday of each month.  You come when you can; the shop is open from 9am – 5pm.  What to bring: a dish to share for lunch; sewing machine; double wedding ring templates (we use Shar Jorgenson’s – we can order for you!) fabric, basic sewing kit, small rotary cutter and rotating mat.  There is no fee for this club, it is a time to get together time for those who wish to create a double wedding ring project.

 

Farmer's Wife Club
Do you love the civil war fabric look?   Join us in creating a wonderful sampler of six inch blocks using patterns from the Farmer’s Wife magazine.  As quilt shop owners AND farmer’s wives we are excited in reading about farm life and creating these beautiful quilt blocks.  The sampler size will be determined on how many blocks you wish to make.  We will meet the 1st Saturday of each month at 9:30am for about an hour to share the blocks that we’ve created.  You may also stay and sew till 5pm the same day if you wish.  One time club fee of $50 includes the Farmer’s Wife Sampler book, civil war fat quarter pack, snacks and 20% off civil war fabrics on club day.

Famer's Wife
  Stitchery Club
If you love the art of stitchery, whatever type it is - appliqué, embroidery, etc. please come and spend the day with fellow stitchers working on the craft you enjoy.  We meet the 3rd Monday of each month. There is no fee or sign-up required, just a potluck item to share for lunch or snacks.
 

Thrifty 2010

Join us the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10am, Noon, or 5:30pm or 9:30am on the following Saturday for Thrifty. We show you what's new in the shop and encourage you to bring show and tell of your own for a chance to win a prize. We also offer an optional Thrifty Block.   Charm Project of the Month
“Simply Charming” is the book we’ll be using each month to create seasonal projects from charms (5” inch squares of fabric) for you to use in decorating or as gift giving.  Projects will range from 47 inches square to 63 inches square in size so they are suitable for table toppers to wall hangings. We will start with the March Shamrocks in January so it will be ready for you to display in March.  There will be a limited amount of kits made for each project and they will be available first come first served unless you reserve them ahead of time by contacting the shop.  Project kits will be available the first Friday of each month.  Prices will vary due to the different sizes.

Sit and Sew Fridays

Join us 1st, 2nd, and 4th Friday each month for sit and sew.  Work on your own projects with other fellow quilters.  No fee or sign up required, but please bring a potluck item to share for lunch or snacks.

Joy Quilt Row by Row
Let us inspire you to make a wonderful Christmas quilt for your bed or as a wonderful gift for a loved one.  This row by row quilt has many different techniques from paper piecing to traditional piecing.  Patterns may be purchased separately or you may reserve a kit which includes the pattern and fabrics in either bright or traditional color ways Patterns and kits will be available the 3rd Thursday of each month. Prices will vary each month due to the width of each row.

As Time Goes By

Last year we had fun with the “Be Attitudes” soooooo…what’s going on in 2010 you ask well……we will be creating a 24” x 27” wallhanging. The background is made from cotton fabrics. Each month you make and attach a wool seasonal appliqué to your background. Kits will be available on the Thrifty day each month.
Cost each month is $25.
